Local music students chosen for 2018 OPUS Honor Choir

Five vocal music students from the Mt. Pleasant Community School District have been selected to the 2018 OPUS Honor Choir.
Fifth-grade students Madisen Finch and Olivia McCormick were chosen to the fifth and sixth-grade treble choir. Selected to the ninth-grade choir were Kylee Adams and Isaiah Albright, with Tristen Davis picked as an alternate.
Nearly 3,000 students were nominated by their directors statewide for 720 positions in the four OPUS Honor Choirs for grades five through nine. Selections were made by means of a recorded audition. The students will perform at the 32nd annual OPUS Honor Choir Festival, Thursday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. at C.Y. Stephens Auditorium in Ames.
