Local students earn college accolades

Allen College has announced that two local students obtained degrees from the institution in August.

Katherine Hull of Fairfield graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Sheena Copeland of Washington graduated with a master’s degree in nursing.

Allen College is a private multi-purpose college for nursing and health sciences professions located in Waterloo.

Des Moines Area Community College President Rob Denson recently released the names of students eligible for the Summer Semester president’s list and dean’s list.

Mason Hartley, a Water Environmental Technology major from Wellman, earned a spot on the president’s list by posting a 4.0 grade point average. Rachel Kelsey, a Liberal Arts major from Washington, also made the president’s list.

Bradley Pregon, a Liberal Arts major from Packwood, earned recognition on the college’s dean’s list. Brandy Escher, a Medical Billing and Coding major from Washington, made the dean’s list.
