Local students honored at college

Laurel Hilger of Fairfield has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2020-21 academic year.

Hilger is a senior majoring in chemical engineering.

Wellman’s Bontrager named to dean’s list

Blake Bontrager, of Wellman, a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran College, has been named to the college's dean's list for the spring 2021 semester. Bontrager is a graduate of Iowa Mennonite School, now known as Hillcrest Academy.

Morozov, Neff graduate from NW Missouri State

The Office of the Registrar and the Graduate School at Northwest Missouri State University have released the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the conclusion of the 2021 spring semester.

The local students to do so were:

Alexandra Igorovna Morozov of Keosauqua, obtaining a Master of Science in Education majoring in Ed Leadership: K-12.

Johannah Michale Neff of Ollie, obtaining a Master of Science in Education majoring in Ed Leadership: K-12.

Kalona’s Yoder makes president’s list

Illinois Central College announced that Mason Yoder of Kalona earned president's list honors during the spring 2021 semester. President's list recognition is achieved with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Rauenbuehler earns spot on dean’s list

Nathan Rauenbuehler of Mt. Pleasant was named to the University of Dubuque’s spring semester 2021 academic dean's list.

Mt. Pleasant’s Tran graduates from Luther College

Thuan Tran of Mt. Pleasant participated in commencement for the Luther College class of 2021 during a virtual commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 16.

Tran received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

A total of 406 graduates were honored and celebrated in the Center for Faith and Life. Of that number, 148 graduates received Latin honors and 30 were first-generation college students.

Kalona’s Schaefer named to dean's list

Cary Schaefer of Kalona made the dean's list for the spring 2021 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.
