Local students participate in Central College’s Service Learning

A pillar of a Central College education is community service and civic engagement. In Spring 2024, 115 Central students are participating in a service-learning opportunity to build civic engagement.
Leah Bontrager, from Wellman, is helping Oakridge Neighborhood Services with a Human Relations project, in Des Moines. Bontrager is in the Class of 2026.
Tyler Fitzpatrick of Mt. Pleasant is helping Christian Opportunity Center with a Disability in America project, in Pella. Fitzpatrick is a member of the Central Class of 2024.
Karsyn Lamm of Mt. Pleasant is helping Pella Christian Spanish Immersion with a Intermediate Spanish II project, in Pella, Iowa. Lamm is a member of the Central Class of 2025.
Drake Drish, from Fairfield, is helping Pella High School (Physical Education) with a Adapted Physical Education project, in Pella, Iowa. Drish is in the Class of 2025.
