Local winners in the 'Best Beer Brews' at Iowa State Fair
DES MOINES ? Iowa's amateur beer makers brewed their best for the beer portion of the Amateur Oenology competition judged prior to the start of the 2015 Iowa State Fair.
Seventy-seven exhibitors entered 252 brews in 31 categories.
In the Light Hybrids category Michael Mullins of Washington took first place. He also placed third in the American Wheat and Rye category.
