Lockridge couple hosting free lily tour
Jon and Lori Andermann will host a free lily tour on Saturday, July 10 from 7-11 a.m. at their rural Lockridge home at 1015 250th St.
There are approximately 400 different kinds of daylilies and lilies including Asiatic, oriental, turk’s cap, trumpet, and lily trees. Anyone who would like to tour the lilies but cannot come during set hours is welcome to call 319-696-2565 to set up an appointment.
“It’s been a challenging spring with such extreme weather conditions,” Lori said. “In the last two months, we’ve had frost, 101 degree temperatures, flooding, and drought. Thank God for the rain we just got. Hopefully we are hitting the peak on July 10 and the flowers will put on a good show.”
