Lockridge Lions Club holds Sept. meeting

The Lockridge Lions Club held their monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at the Lockridge Community Building.
Meeting was called to order by President Larry Hill followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary Jeff Murphy read the minutes from the last meeting and gave the Treasurer’s Report, both were approved unanimously.
No Old Business.
New Business brought before the club was discussion on Lockridge Fun Days which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. The club will have a float and a booth to gain interest in the lion’s club. Motion was made by Lion Judy Warning to pay $140.49 for the trophies for the kid’s tractor pull and was seconded by Lion Taglauer, motion passed. It was discussed about the snow cone booth this year and was decided not to do it this year.
The memorial plague has been updated by Lion Larry Messer and is back in its place. A local resident of Lockridge was in a car accident and the members wished to do something for her and her family, so motion was made by Lion John Parrott to give the family $300.00 the motion was seconded by Lion Mike Renken, motion passed.
At our November meeting our District Governor Paul Hain will be with us for the meeting. We will meet at 6 p.m. for supper and meeting will start at 7 p.m. The date for our Annual Soup and Action night was set for Saturday, March 14, 2025.
At our October meeting we will start eating at 6 p.m. at the “Red Lunchbox” followed by our business meeting at 7 p.m.
If you are interested in joining the Lockridge Lions Club, we meet the first Thursday of each month at 7: 00 p.m. at the Lockridge Community Building.
No further business was at hand, and the meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m.
