Log Cabin Questers tour military museum

Log Cabin Questers met recently to tour the Military Museum of Washington County, also known as the F Troop Museum.

Museum docents explained the contents of the museum which included artifacts of the Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, and the Persian Gulf War. Areas of the museum are focused on individual branches of military service. There are many mannequins dressed in original uniforms.

Photos of Washington County military and posters adorn the walls. There are many scrapbooks, letters, artillery, and artifacts on display. The group was very impressed with the scope of the museum and encourage individuals and small groups to visit.

The group then went to the home of Karen Lyons for a business meeting and to celebrate the birthday of Sharon Hahn. The next meeting will be a Christmas luncheon at Tuscan Moon.
