The Lord?s Cupboard of Jefferson County, the area?s emergency food pantry, is expanding its list of substitute workers.
The organization is looking for substitutes who can fill in on afternoons when regularly scheduled volunteers are absent.
Specifically, The Lord?s Cupboard is seeking someone who can work from 12:55 to 4 p.m. the last three Mondays of February: Monday, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25, plus one day ahead to train for a couple of hours.
According to the organization officials, this is fairly physical volunteering: handling 15-20 pounds of canned goods, meat and more; lots of standing and walking; and good eyesight is a must.
To volunteer, call The Lord?s Cupboard at 472-8457.
