Lucas J. Brookhart

Lucas J. Brookhart, 57, of Hillsboro, died at his home on Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Hillsboro.

Lucas was born on December 6, 1959, in Keokuk the son of Richard and Beverly Clingsmith Brookhart. He was united in marriage to Vickie Lynn Bowden on December 11, 1977; she preceded him in death on February 27, 2016. He worked various jobs throughout his life and retired from Modine Manufacturing Company. He enjoyed watching football, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He was on various bowling leagues. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Washington.

He is survived by his children: Arion (Kelly) Brookhart of Hillsboro, Talena Argueta (Calvin Battle) of Crawfordsville and Jonathan (Nicole) Brookhart of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren; two brothers: Mark Brookhart of Fort Madison and Rick Brookhart of Sebastian, Fla. and one sister Nira Neil of Cartridge, Ill.

Lucas was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Vickie.
