Luncheon to honor 80th birthday
Eileen Spray Coffin will celebrate her 80th birthday on March 10, 2014. She was born on March 10, 1934, in Brighton, to Carl and Phyllis White. She married John (Ted) Spray on March 21, 1949. They farmed in the Richland area and were married for 48 years till he passed away on March 24, 1997. Eileen Spray Coffin will celebrate her 80th birthday on March 10, 2014. She was born on March 10, 1934, in Brighton, to Carl and Phyllis White. She married John (Ted) Spray on March 21, 1949. They farmed in the Richland area and were married for 48 years till he passed away on March 24, 1997. She was married to Kenneth Coffin, a retired electrician and school bus driver for Fairfield School District, on June 10, 2001 until he passed away on Nov. 23, 2005.
Her children are Glenda Hunt of Kirksville, Mo.; Dolores Hope White of Alta Loma, Calif.; Rick Spray (deceased); Deanna Spray of Hallsville, Mo.; Randy Spray (deceased); Gordon Spray of Port Lucie, Fla.; Shelli Spray of Vancouver, Wash.; and Steve Spray of Jay, Fla.
She has 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Coffin retired from driving a school bus for Pekin Community Schools after 27 years. She is a member of the Woolson Friends Church. She is a past president of the Richland Lions Club.
She loves spending time with her family and playing cards.
A luncheon for family and close friends will be held on March 9, at Woolson Friends Church to celebrate Mrs. Coffin?s birthday. Birthday cards may be sent to her at 1175 Jasmine Ave., Richland, IA 52585.
