The Fairfield Public Library is hosting a Mad Science Day from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday for elementary-age patrons and their families to participate in hands-on science experiments.
?We will have eight different science stations throughout the library,? said Youth Services Librarian Jessica Garchik, listing: a sound experiment; a Van de Graaff generator; electro-magnetism and unique magnets; safe explosions; a voice-changing machine; air pressure; dry ice; and more.
The experiments were prepared and tested by Mad Science of Central Iowa.
Garchik said participants should check in at the children?s department and pick up a schedule of experiments.
