Maharishi School students give gift basket to Fairfield firefighters
Earlier this school year, the seventh grade class at Maharishi School invited members of the Fairfield Fire Department to the school to accept gifts of appreciation as their classroom Act of Kindness.
On behalf of the entire fire department, Fire Chief Scott Vaughan and firefighter Mark Brown accepted a gift basket full of goodies from the seventh-graders, who wanted to express their appreciation to the firefighters as part of the school’s Raise Craze campaign, where students perform Acts of Kindness.
Vaughan and Brown came to the school in a fire truck, which was a thrill to the youngsters who were eager to see one up close.
