Main Street Fairfield welcomes Jill Lane as Executive Director

Fairfield — The Main Street Fairfield Board of Directors is proud to announce the hiring of Jill Lane as the organization’s first Executive Director. Lane will begin her new role in November 2025, leading efforts to strengthen, promote, and revitalize Fairfield’s historic downtown district.

Main Street Fairfield was officially designated earlier this year as part of the Main Street Iowa network, joining a select group of communities committed to preserving their historic character while driving economic growth and community vitality.

As Executive Director, Lane will guide the implementation of the Main Street Four-Point Approach — focusing on organization, design, promotion, and economic vitality. She will collaborate with local businesses, property owners, city officials, and community members to enhance the downtown experience and encourage new investment.

“I am honored to join Main Street Fairfield at such an exciting time,” said Lane. “Our downtown is full of character, creativity, and potential. I am eager to listen, learn, and work alongside our community to build on that strong foundation and help our downtown thrive.”

Lane brings a strong background in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. She has worked extensively with local and statewide initiatives focused on community development and economic opportunity, helping local organizations secure resources, build collaboration, and create long-term impact.

“Jill’s dynamic personality, strategic planning abilities and enthusiasm make her a great fit for this new role,” said Denise Hall, Board President of Main Street Fairfield. “As our first Executive Director, she will help establish the foundation for Main Street Fairfield’s success and guide our efforts to make downtown an even more vibrant and welcoming destination.”
