Make Christmas real with what you already own
My oldest was 2 when I started a nativity set. We could only afford Mary, Joseph, a feeding trough and baby Jesus. I rationalized, ?The innkeeper did not have any room for Jesus either.?
I went in to my son?s bedroom that night. There on the shelf sat a Fisher Price Little People barn.
A barn or a stable, what is the difference? That toy barn became our stable for many years.

I went in to my son?s bedroom that night. There on the shelf sat a Fisher Price Little People barn.
A barn or a stable, what is the difference? That toy barn became our stable for many years.
When we did set up a ?real? stable several years later, a silence settled over all of us. Something about it just looked too ... perfect.
