An anonymous local man purchased $500 worth of Girl Scout cookies from Troop 2564. On Feb. 22, the troop was having a cookie booth at the Fairfield HyVee. This local man quizzed the girls on how many different kinds of cookies we had and how many could he get with $500. We love it when customers interact with the girls. They can learn a lot at a cookie booth: people skills, math skills, and counting back money. The girls tell him 10 cases are worth $500. This local man wanted the three local nursing homes and one in Keosauqua to receive the cookies. We made our delivers to the nursing homes on Saturday, March 7. The residents enjoyed seeing the girls and the cookies.
