Marek, Brinning become peer mentors at ISU

The College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University in Ames has named its learning community peer mentors for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Makenzi Marek, an apparel, merchandising, and design major from Riverside, has been named a peer mentor for Common Threads learning community, a group that helps first-year students in apparel, merchandising, and design with a variety of academic and social experiences.
Morgan Brinning, a kinesiology and health major from Keota, has been named a peer mentor for the Kinesiology Freshman learning community, a group that helps incoming freshman explore academic and social experiences within their major.
Peer mentors help guide Iowa State students, helping them adjust to their surroundings and gain academic and social experiences, futher connecting them to their major and fellow peers.
