Marilyn E. Lanferman

Marilyn E. Lanferman, 74, of Rome, died on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at the Henry County Health Center, in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at 2 p.m., at the Rome Baptist Church, with Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Grant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at the Murphy Funeral Home, in Mt. Pleasant.

Lanferman was born on Nov. 19, 1942, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Sam and Goldie Peltz Kramer. She was united in marriage to Eddie Lanferman and they later divorced.

She worked at Heatilator of Mt. Pleasant until her health failed in 2007.

She enjoyed feeding the birds, tending to her flowers, going to gamble, and following the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bears.

Lanferman is survived by her son, Lou (Aggie) Lerner, of Burbank, Calif.; a grand-daughter; and her brother, Robert (Dianne) Kramer, of Los Angeles, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
