Jolene Colthurst welcomed the Questers group into her home on Dec. 19, 2025, with Jennine Wolf serving as cohostess. Each member was to bring a "Christmas Treasurer." President Jane Fehr opened with all reciting the invocation. Secretary Connie Pence took the attendance, with nine members answering the roll that day, the Minutes being approved as read. Treasurer Sally Beezley reported on the finances and reminded us that dues for the next year are to be paid by March, our next meeting. That report was approved by all.
In old business we will consider where our preservation money should be spent, whether on a local special project or looking into grants that might benefit restoration of another special need in our community.
Nominations were taken as to officers who might serve in the next year. The slate voted on is President Jennine Wolf, Vice President Jolene Colthurst, Secretary Connie Pence, Treasurer Sally Beezley, Historian Martha Russell. Discussion was held about combining the office of Parliamentarian with Historian, and Jane will do research on our state and local bylaws to find whether that would be allowed.
Members brought a variety of objects, ornaments and pictures to show and tell of the memories it brought to them at Christmastime. A box of antique Shiny Brite ornaments was shared, along with history of when and how they were uniquely made. Early family pictures were passed around, and recalling of a particular Christmas created smiles and thoughts of years past when a certain present was received or the special person who had given the gift. Lovely holiday treats were served by Jolene and Jennine.
