McGahan, Schombert wedding reception July 17

Hurley McGahan and Branden Schombert, both of Kansas City, Missouri, were married Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Christian Renewal Church in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

The groom is the son of Dwight and Robin Schombert of Lockridge. The bride is the daughter of Jim and Jill McGahan of St. Simons Island.

Mack Tucker officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony. The Kansas City Worship Team provided the music. The altar was decorated with white flowers in copper vases, and the bride carried white roses.

Following a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple are making their home in Kansas City, where he is employed with Cerner Corp., and she is a counselor at Teen Challenge.

An open house reception for Mr. and Mrs. Schombert, hosted by friends, is planned from 1-3 p.m. July 17 at Fairfield Friends Church gym.
