CHAPTER L T.T.T.
Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of Sword of Gold.
Prior to the business meeting one of the camp girls came and reported on her camp experience. She was accompanied by her mother, who was also a T.T.T. Camper at the same camp. While sharing her experiences, she made a craft to keep as a reminder. Missy Fear provided a homemade dessert.
Roll Call: Five members answered with "If you could have any fictional character as a best friend, who would it be?"
Minutes: Nancy McGohan read the May 2025 minutes and they were approved as read.
Correspondence: President Shelman distributed a handout and then discussed fundraising opportunities chapters around the area have used in the past year.
The Treasurer's Report was given by Missy Fear.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Camp: President Shelman and Nancy McGohan shared their journey of taking the girls to Camp Bear Creek. President Shelman and Georgia Fort went after the girls and brought them home.
Camp Girls' Gifts: Nothing to report.
Ways and Means: Karolyn Crawford reported on tip night at the Mt. Pleasant Pizza Ranch on June 2nd. The Chapter will be at the Washington location on July 7. Karolyn, Missy and President Shelman will be working there. The Addington Place meal date is set for July 14. Price of the meal is $10 and fliers were handed out to be distributed. Joan Rodgers will do a video interview a week prior to the event.
OLD BUSINESS: President Shelman reported she and Nancy McGohan had attended the Founder's Day ceremony in Mt. Pleasant.
NEW BUSINESS: President Shelman will correspond with the Wayland Chapter to set a date to meet with them.
BILLS FOR PAYMENT: Nancy McGohan presented one for a meal the day the girls went to camp and President Shelman submitted one for transportation. These bills were allowed.
PROPOSAL OF NAMES FOR MEMBERSHIP: None.
ADJOURNMENT: President Shelman thanked those who attended. The next meeting will be Monday, July 28, 2025 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ.
The meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed.
WHITE CLOUD CLUB
Five members of the White Cloud Club met Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Dairy Mart in Ainsworth where a delicious lunch was enjoyed.
President Betty Lintz opened the meeting with a collection of minutiae (precise, small, trifling details), actually trivia of various subjects.
There were no minutes from the June meeting or treasurer's report.
Roll call: Where do you watch fireworks? Members' answers varied and it appears that the local area has many opportunities to do this.
Old Business: The Club tour which will be held in September. Ideas will be looked into and decided at the next meeting.
New Business: The Club Potluck will be Aug. 3, 2025 at the United Church of Crawfordsville at 6 p.m.
Attending were: Jolene Cothurst, Betty Lintz, Diane Johnston, Margaret Patterson and Virginia Sands.
