Memorial bike show, poker ride announced
BONAPARTE ? Bonaparte is revving up for the fourth annual Daniel Christy Memorial Bike Show on Saturday.
The show will kick off with registration from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Bonaparte?s First Street. Judging will begin at 1 p.m., and trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m.

BONAPARTE ? Bonaparte is revving up for the fourth annual Daniel Christy Memorial Bike Show on Saturday.
The show will kick off with registration from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Bonaparte?s First Street. Judging will begin at 1 p.m., and trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m.
Trophies will be awarded for first through third place in seven classes: sportster; big twin; touring; custom; foreign; trike; and push, pull or haul. Trophies also will be given for best paint, people?s choice and best-in-show.
Every participant will receive a 2011 participant ribbon.
A poker ride will be held in conjunction with the show, with registration from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Entry fee for the bike show is $10. Entry fee for the poker ride is $5 per hand or five hands for $20.
All proceeds will fund a memorial scholarship in Daniel Christy?s name for students enrolled in the Tool and Die program.
Bonaparte Emergency Medical Services will serve food all day. Memorial T-shirts also will be available.
The event is sponsored by Bonaparte Main Street, Budweiser and the Daniel Christy Memorial Bike Show Committee.
