Meyer family reunion held Friday, May 29
Thirty descendants of John Conrad Meyer met for the 76th annual reunion, Friday, May 29, at the Pizza Ranch.
Pat Johnson presented the history of lineage of those present. John and wife Maria Bockel married in 1737 in Hereford, Germany, and came to America in 1740. They settled in North Heidelberg, Pa. The family resided there for two years, then came west to Washington County and the Grace Hill community.

Thirty descendants of John Conrad Meyer met for the 76th annual reunion, Friday, May 29, at the Pizza Ranch.
Pat Johnson presented the history of lineage of those present. John and wife Maria Bockel married in 1737 in Hereford, Germany, and came to America in 1740. They settled in North Heidelberg, Pa. The family resided there for two years, then came west to Washington County and the Grace Hill community.
The present-day families are descended from the third generation, John Meyer and Rebecca Mohn. The grandparents were from the fourth generation, John Wesley and Myrtle Mae Young Meyer, and Charlotte ?Lottie? Meyer and Asahel Robertson.
Mildred Meyer Houseal was the only living fifth-generation member present. Eleven people present were from the sixth generation, eight people were from the seventh generation, and the remaining 10 children were from the eighth generation.
Next year?s reunion will be decided later by the John Wesley Meyer descendants.
