Mid-Prairie FFA participates in livestock judging

The Mid-Prairie FFA had 15 members participate in the NW Sub-District Freshman/Sophomore Livestock Judging held at Kirkwood Community College hosted by the Clear Creek Amana FFA. Members evaluated classes of cattle, hogs, and goats/sheep. There were 42 teams and 144 students judging in the contests.

Results included: Individual Results: Cuyler Rourke placed 3rd in beef and 3rd overall, Averi Janecek placed 7th in beef and 10th overall, Allie Whetstine placed 6th in swine, Harlee West placed 2nd in beef, Caitlynn Peters placed 10th in sheep/goats, and Stephanie Gingerich placed 10th in beef. The team of Blake Malichky, Bo Pennington, Harlee West and Jesse Stultz placed 9th in beef. The team of Madelyn Sieren, Allie Whetstine, Rylee Cady and Stella Janecek placed 3rd in swine, 7th in beef and 7th overall. The team of Cuyler Rourke, Adelyn Huston, Averi Janecek, and Kean Curtis placed 4th in swine, 1st in beef and 1st overall.
