Mid-Prairie High School earns all Division 1 ratings

Nine Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech Groups competed Saturday, January 20 at Keota High School for the Iowa High School Speech Association's District Large Group Speech Contest. All nine events performed by Mid-Prairie were evaluated by certified IHSSA judges, and earned Division 1 ratings. The entire team will be advancing to the IHSSA State Large Group Contest at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Earning Division 1 Ratings at District Large Group Speech Contest:

One Act Play - Accused of Comedy - Jacob Carrillo, Harlie Gehling, Niah Leaton and Grace Puttmann.

Readers Theatre - Rap-Punzel - Chris Burnham, Jillian Clark, River Gehling, Abby Kraus, Brock Lowenberg, Aliza Parks, Daniel Rodgers, and Diego Sanchez.

Ensemble Acting - Brutally Honest Life Coach - River Gehling and Grace Puttmann.

Ensemble Acting - The Rebound - Haydon Bailey, Logan McClellen, Jeremiah Rempel, and Caroline Schrader.

Ensemble Acting - It's Not You - Tabitha Fisher, Harlie Gehling, Wren Harris, and Daniel Rodgers.

Musical Theatre - Aladdin - Haydon Bailey, Jack Greiner, and Jeremiah Rempel.

Musical Theatre - Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog - Logan McClellen and Caroline Schrader.

Group Improvisation - Gingah and the Two Blind Mice - Jillian Clark, Niah Leaton, and Toby Olson.

Group Improvisation - Sweet and Spicy - Jacob Carrillo and Jack Greiner.
