Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech team advancing to state

The Mid-Prairie High School speech team competed at the Iowa High School Speech Association (IHSSA) Large Group District contest in Wapello on Saturday, Jan. 24. Nineteen students comprised four group entries that received division ?1? ratings and will advance to state competition Feb. 7 at Cedar Rapids Washington High School.

Groups advancing are: One-Act Play "10 More Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview? ? Nolan Bertelli, Jessie Teets, Haylee Marner, Hanna Mansfield, Rhett Leonard, Sawyer Black, Aleigha Gugel, Abby Pickard, Sage Becker, Isaac Yoder, Anna Mayer, Josh Fox and Lilli Radeboldt-Hopper; Ensemble Acting ?Bride and Gloom? ? Rhett Leonard, Hannah VanRoekel; Ensemble Acting ?1-800? ? Haylee Marner, Ben Chapman, Kadidia Témé; and Group Mime ?Creative Chaos? ? Jessie Teets, Ciana Carr, Melissa Murray, Gina Waters.
