Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech Team competes
Nine Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech Groups competed Saturday, January 14 at Bellevue High School RVC Large Group Speech Contest.
All nine groups earned division 1 ratings
Earning Division 1 Ratings:
Readers Theatre - Bullies Anonymous - Christopher Burnham, Harlie Gehling, Isadora Goode, Logan McClellen, Jeremiah Rempel, Caroline Scrader.
Ensemble Acting - Amanda Freezes Time - Isabelle Duvall, Harlie Gehling, Isadora Goode, Abrielle Kraus, Daniel Rodgers, Diego Sanchez. This group also earned a 2nd place Best In Center Award.
Ensemble Acting - Weekend at Bundy's - Haydon Bailey, Jacob Carrillo, Caroline Schrader, Avery Slaubaugh.
Ensemble Acting - Role of Della - Kenadi Fay, River Gehling, Grace Puttmann.
Musical Theatre - Spamalot - Haydon Bailey, Jack Greiner, Avery Slaubaugh. This group also earned a 1st Place Best In Center Award.
Musical Theatre - SpongeBob Squarepants the Musical - Logan McClellen and Jeremiah Rempel. This group also earned a 2nd place Best In Center Award.
Group Improvisation - Tall and Small - Jillian Clark and Kenadi Fay. This group also won a 2nd Place Best In Center Award.
Group Improvisation - Slimy Bread Yarn - Christopher Burnham, Jacob Carrillo, Jack Greiner.
Group Improvisation - Fruity Iceberg - River Gehling, Grace Puttmann, and Lincoln Wulf.
For the Iowa High School Speech Association District Large Group Speech Contest, the Mid-Prairie Large Group Speech Team will compete this coming Saturday, Jan. 21 at Keota High School. Those earning a Division 1 rating at District Contest will advance to State Large Group Speech Contest at Cedar Rapids Washington on Saturday, February 5. Coaches are Christine Meader and Lisa Helmuth.
