Mid-Prairie's large group speech team earns honors

Mid-Prairie?s Speech team had a successful day at Cedar Valley Conference Large Group Speech contest Saturday, Jan. 16, at Monticello. Six of the team?s seven entries received perfect ?I? ratings and three entries were named ?Best of Center,? the best of all entries in their respective categories. Additionally, M-P senior Ciana Carr was named ?Best Actress in a One-Act Play.?

Entries receiving ?I? ratings and ?Best of Center? were: One-Act Play "Selfie" with Aleigha Gugel, Abby Pickard, Ciana Carr, Taylor Hillbrand, Rhett Leonard, Josh Fox, Isaiah Sents, Sawyer Black, Isaac Yoder, Lillian Radeboldt-Hopper; Short Film ?Withering? with Caleb Davis, Josh Gingerich, Ben Stone, Gina Waters, Dominick Helmuth, Josh Allen; and Group Improv with Rhett Leonard, Anna Yoder.

Also receiving top ?I? ratings were: Ensemble Acting ?The Blueberry Hill Accord? with Ciana Carr, Aleigha Gugel; Ensemble Acting ?How to Succeed in High School without Really Trying? with Abby Pickard, Hannah Van Roekel, Maizy Fugate, Elijah Meader, Anna Yoder, Isaac Yoder; Group Improv with Josh Fox, Nolan Bertelli, Ben Chapman.
