Migrating bird hunt Saturday

As spring progresses, more and more birds wing their way back from southern climes. Some are only stopping by while others are eager to set up housekeeping as soon as possible. Come look for these birds at the Washington County Conservation Board's Migrating Bird Hunt. This public program will be held on Saturday, May 4, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Participants should meet at the Hayes Timber/Kewash Trail parking lot.
Join us as we listen to the end of the dawn chorus and search out birds returning to our timbers as well as those just passing through. The Kewash Trail is an excellent wildlife corridor for migratory birds and the adjacent Hayes Timber provides a haven for many other species as well. Perhaps we'll even spot some elusive warblers in the brushes. Naturally, we will have to stop and enjoy the wildflowers in bloom as well.
Binoculars available. All ages are welcome.
Participants should meet in the large parking lot bordering the Kewash Nature Trail, Hayes Timber and Sesqui Park and across from the minibus barn on Fifth Street in Washington.
