Miriam Carol Kauffman, 88, formerly of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, Mo.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Per Mrs. Kauffman?s wishes, no visitation is planned.
Memorials may be made to North Hill Cemetery fund in Wayland.

Mrs. Kauffman was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Wayland, the daughter of David and Lavina Roth Meyer. She married Donald Kauffman Dec. 25, 1942.
Survivors include three children, Thomas and wife Sandra of Troy, Mo., Terry and wife Catherine of Brattleboro, Vt., and Debra Barnhart and husband David of Davenport; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
