Jessica Lynn Mitcheltree, daughter of David and Linda Mitcheltree of Keosauqua, and Mitchell Brent Ehrenfelt, son of Brenda and Dennis Morris of Prole and Richard and Kathy Ehrenfelt of Lady Lake, Fla., were married in a double-ring ceremony officiated by the reverends Tim Hadley and Joseph Phipps at 4 p.m. Sept. 10, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield.
Ferns and black-and-white scroll ribbon bows accented with apple green decorated the altar. A memorial bouquet in white honored deceased grandparents.
The bride wore a white, strapless, A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and sweeping train. Crystal beadwork trimmed the bodice and embellished lace overlay. Her elbow-length veil was trimmed in a single row of crystals. She carried green spider mums, mini calla lilies and green and white roses.
The matron of honor was Carrie Larsen. Attendants were Angie Atwood and Bobbi Sue Higdon. They wore strapless, knee-length gowns in a black-and-white swirl pattern, with apple green sashes at the waist and three-layer pick-up skirts. They carried white spider mums and white roses.
Best man was Derek Sobaski, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Steve McBeth, who has passed away since the wedding, and Mark Jacobs.
Ellie Stever was flower girl, and Brook Atwood was ringbearer.
Ushers were Phill Adam, Corey Randall, George Weber and Adam Woodruff.
The bride?s personal attendants were her sister Lindsey Kane and Jessica Ring.
LeAnne Edgeton played the piano, and a recording of the bride singing ?When I Say I Do? was played to surprise the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance for 315 guests was held at the Best Western Fairfield Inn. The couple entered the reception to the fight song of the victorious Cyclones in following their University of Iowa vs. Iowa State University game day rivalry theme. The maid of honor sang a musical medley for her toast, with the bride?s mother and friends as backup singers.
A rehearsal dinner, a prime rib dinner, had been held at Walton Club.
The couple have made their home in Richland.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Van Buren High School, a 2009 graduate of Indian Hills Community College with an associate degree in nursing and a 2011 graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is case manager at the Washington County Hospital.
