Mobile home fire was electrical
The Fairfield structure fire reported at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday at 405 S. 14th St., destroyed a residence for three people, according to Fairfield Fire Department Chief Scott Vaughan.
He investigated the origin of the fire at the mobile home and determined it was electrical.
?The residents were put up a few nights by the Red Cross, and I think friends in Ottumwa are helping them out,? he said.

The home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene; 15 firefighters remained at the fire about 2.5 hours fighting the blaze.
