?Moms Are Great? essays due

The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Moms Are Great essay contest for children in first through fifth grades.

Essays must be turned in by Friday at the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center.

Contest entry is free.

Essays should be 50 words or less on why your mom is great.

Essays must be submitted in the child?s handwriting. Each essay must have the following information attached: Child?s name, grade, teacher, school and home phone number.

Two winners from each grade, a boy and a girl, will be chosen and will receive a rose to give to their moms on Mother?s Day.

Each person who enters will receive a certificate of participation and will get their essay back to be able to give to their mom.

The park and rec department will contact the winners.
