More Thanksgiving news to share

Visiting over the Thanksgiving holiday in the home of Gene and Betty Lintz were their son , David and Misse of Flower Mound, TX and his daughter, Kaitlin Lintz and friend, Chris Jeffrey of Tulsa, OK and Gene's sister, Cathy Flam of Coweta, OK. Darin and Stacy joined them for dinner Thanksgiving Day.
The Scott Davis family met for Thanksgiving on Thursday evening at the United Church of Crawfordsville Fellowship Hall.
Those attending from Crawfordsville were Scott and Jeanne Davis, Amber and Rebecca; Ryan and Carman Davis, Peyton and Paxton; Marcus and Brittany Davis, Makinley, Brysen and Merrick , all of Wayland; and Chris McClain and Angela Davis of Washington.
A traditional Thanksgiving dinner was enjoyed by all. Afterwards Bingo was played with lots of interesting and fun prizes being won. The rest of the evening was spent playing cards.
4-H Senior Citizen Award
Congratulations to Zoey Dennler, daughter of Darren and Karen Dennler who recently received the 4-H Senior Citizenship Award. She is a member of the Horse and Pony Club and an eight year member of Washington County 4-H and is in her second year on the County 4-H Council. What makes Zoey so impressive is she is always willing to share new ideas and try new activities and connect with new people. She has volunteered to be a Jr. Camp Counselor. At WACO High School, where she is a Junior she is involved in many school activities, including WACO FFA, Dance and Club Volleyball ans also is a willing helper in any Crawfordsville events.
CRAWFORDSVILLE LIONS CLUB
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday evening, November 28, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room with ten members in attendance.
Lion President Finke called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Fletcher offered prayer. Lion Secretary Rose read the minutes of the November 14, 2022 meeting and they were approved as read. Lion Treasurer Finke gave his report.
Old Business: It was reported the town Christmas lights were put up Saturday, November 6 with the assistance of Lions Greene's son-in-law, Joe Elmquist hanging them and Rush Brentlinger, Jr. providing his truck. The Lions are very appreciative of their assistance. The annual Christmas dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12 near Kalona. Donation lists for the upcoming Christmas drawing have been given out.
New Business: The Blood Drive sponsored by the club will be held Monday, December 5 from 1:30-6:30 in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville. A letter was passed from Lara Hochstetler. It was decided to make a donation to Camp Courageous for their Splash Pad. A motion was made, seconded and carried to have the February Pancake Supper on Saturday, February 18 from 4:00-7:00 at the Fire Station.
There being no further business to come before the club, the meeting adjourned.
Following adjournment, Lion President Finke entertained with a quiz on famous people's real names.
