How will your high school experiences help you in the coming years? Being involved in many extracurriculars throughout high school has helped me learn good time management as well as how to work well with others. Also, taking many college classes during these activities has taught me how to stay on task and not to procrastinate.
Fondest memory of high school: Choosing just one memory is a difficult task. All throughout high school, volleyball has, by far, been my favorite activity. I have enjoyed getting to know my teammates over the years and being with my favorite people while playing the sport I love.
Who is your role model and how did they influence you? My biggest role models all throughout my life have been my parents. They have both pushed me to be the best version of myself. They have taught me to be kind, strong-minded, and determined for success. They have been with me through all my endeavors and I would have never gotten to where I am today without them by my side.
What is special about your high school? I would say what is most special about New London is the caring and hardworking staff. Every teacher, associate, and administrator will do what they can to help every student be successful. New London has also presented me with many opportunities, like being able to graduate with my associates of arts degree and start my first year of nursing school ahead.
If you could go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself? The best advice I would give myself if I were to go back to freshman year would be to not overload myself and relax. I am extremely glad and grateful for all the amazing opportunities when it came to sports and college but sometimes I stressed about things more than I should have. I would not change how much I put on my plate, however I would encourage my younger self and tell her she can handle anything thrown her way.
