Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce accepting nominations for Henry County Leadership Class

The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2025-2026 Henry County Leadership Class. This leadership series is a nine-month course, where the class members able to meet with community and business leaders, take a variety of business tours, attend Southeast Iowa Days — Des Moines and participate with “Leading Communities” with Iowa State University Extension & Outreach — Henry County.

Henry County Leadership strives to provide our communities with an enduring source of diverse leaders who are prepared and committed to serving their region. As a skills-building program, Henry County Leadership aims to:

• Identify and motivate emerging community leaders.

• Provides an educational experience with a strong emphasis on both leadership skills and community awareness.

• Challenge participants to apply their talents within their community while providing an opportunity to become involved.
