Mount Pleasant Chorale invites area singers
MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Mount Pleasant Chorale, under the direction of Iowa Wesleyan College?s Director of Choral Activities Brad Miller, will begin rehearsing for its spring concert Monday.

MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Mount Pleasant Chorale, under the direction of Iowa Wesleyan College?s Director of Choral Activities Brad Miller, will begin rehearsing for its spring concert Monday.
The rehearsal will be at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant.
?The Chorale is open to all singers, and no audition is required, just a willing spirit and desire to make wonderful choral music,? said Miller. ?It is a great opportunity to make new friends and enjoy making music together as a community of musicians.?
The spring concert will be ?Mostly Mozart.? It will feature two of Mozart?s most treasured works, Vesperae solennes de Confessore (Solemn Vespers) and Ave Verum Corpus, one of the most well-known and beloved choral masterpieces of all time, as well as other selections.
The concert is scheduled for April 29.
The Chorale will be joined by the Iowa Wesleyan College Choir, Mount Pleasant High School Chamber Singers and a chamber orchestra comprised of members of the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra.
To take part in the Chorale, contact Miller at bradley.miller@iwc.edu or 319-385-6354 or come to the first rehearsal 15 minutes early Monday.
Rehearsals will be held weekly from 7-9 p.m. Mondays at the church.
A registration fee of $15 is requested from all members.
