MP boys sweep Davis Couty

BLOOMFIELD ? The Mt. Pleasant boys' tennis team put the paws on Davis County on Thursday in their first meet of the year. The Panthers torched the Mustangs 9-0 to move to 1-0 on the year.
Ethan Weber led the charge, dominating the No. 1 singles match 8-0 over Davis County's Luke Snyder. Corbin Broeker won the No. 2 match 8-3 over Noah Smolek.

BLOOMFIELD ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? tennis team put the paws on Davis County on Thursday in their first meet of the year. The Panthers torched the Mustangs 9-0 to move to 1-0 on the year.
Ethan Weber led the charge, dominating the No. 1 singles match 8-0 over Davis County?s Luke Snyder. Corbin Broeker won the No. 2 match 8-3 over Noah Smolek.
Jaxon Hoyle took the No. 3 singles match 8-3 over Davis County?s Clayton McFarland. Elijah Plooster topped Ivan Garcia 8-1 in the No. 4 match. Donny Arledge won 8-2 over Carson Zeitler in the No. 5 match, and Jack Schimmelpfennig took down Alex Lynch 8-1 in the No. 6 match.
Broeker and Hoyle competed as the No. 1 doubles team for MP, winning their game 8-2 over Snyder and Smolek. Weber and Schimmelpfennig took down McFarland and Zeitler 8-2, and the No. 3 team of Plooster and Arledge shut down Garcia and Lynch 8-0.
There was one junior varsity match on the day. David Nguyen won 8-3 for Mt. Pleasant.
The MP boys will have their home opener today (Monday). The Panthers will take on Fairfield in Southeast Conference action, starting at 4:30 p.m.
