MP Christian school sweeps final home games

The Mt. Pleasant Christian School picked up two wins in Tuesday night?s home doubleheader against Keokuk Christian Academy.

In their last home games of the season, the girls? team won, 49-38, and the boys? team won, 68-39.

Annika Rynders scored a season-high 22 points to lead the Knights to victory in the girls? game.

In the boys? game, it was Bryant Gehrig and Morgan Van Nyhuis who put up the big numbers. Gehrig scored 22 points of his own and Morgan Van Nyhuis went 4-5 from three-point land to finish with 12.

The MP Christian girls moved to 2-2 with the win and the boys ran their record up to 4-6.

The Knights will wrap up their season on Friday, Feb. 24, when they head to Burlington to take on Great River Christian.
