MP man arrested on Washington County warrant

A Mt. Pleasant will face charges of OWI second offense and assault on a police officer after being arrested on a Washington County warrant Sunday night.

A Mt. Pleasant will face charges of OWI second offense and assault on a police officer after being arrested on a Washington County warrant Sunday night.
According to the Washington County call log, the Henry County Sheriff?s office arrested Jesse Marshal Furcron, 36, of Mt. Pleasant, at 106 E. Clay St. He is being held under $3,000 bond. The report also said Furcron is wanted out of Kalamazoo, Michigan, for driving under the influence of alcohol.
In Iowa, a second OWI is an aggravated misdemeanor and can bring up to two years in prison. Assault on a peace officer is a Class D felony and can bring up to one year in prison and a $7,500 fine.
