MP middle school jazz band takes first Saturday
The Mt. Pleasant Middle School jazz band, comprised of seventh- and eighth-grade students and directed by Adam Creager, won first place in the middle school division of the Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association's District Jazz Band Festival on Saturday, March 3, at Iowa City West High School.

The Mt. Pleasant Middle School jazz band, comprised of seventh- and eighth-grade students and directed by Adam Creager, won first place in the middle school division of the Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association?s District Jazz Band Festival on Saturday, March 3, at Iowa City West High School.
Both of the high school jazz bands also competed at the contest, with Jazz 1, directed by Jim DePriest, placing fifth in class 3A and Jazz 2, led by Laura Westfall, winning second place in the second bands category.
