MPCMS v-ball hosts Ottumwa

The Mt. Pleasant Middle School volleyball teams hosted Ottumwa in non-conference games on Thursday night. The Panther eighth-graders were defeated in all but one set and the seventh-graders went 1-2-1.
In the eighth-grade ?A? match, Mt. Pleasant fell, 21-8 and 21-2. Maddie Moore was 4-6 serving with four points and Emma Pieper was 3-3 serving with one point.

The Mt. Pleasant Middle School volleyball teams hosted Ottumwa in non-conference games on Thursday night. The Panther eighth-graders were defeated in all but one set and the seventh-graders went 1-2-1.
In the eighth-grade ?A? match, Mt. Pleasant fell, 21-8 and 21-2. Maddie Moore was 4-6 serving with four points and Emma Pieper was 3-3 serving with one point.
In the ?B? game, the eighth-graders lost, 21-7, and 21-9. Avery Sutter was 2-4 with two points and Heather Sutherland was 2-3 with one point.
The eighth-grade ?C? team fell, 21-9 and 21-12. Nicole Stewart led the way, going 7-9 with five points.
In a tight ?D? game, the Panthers split with Ottumwa, 21-19 and 19-21. Jordan Aplara was 8-9 with five points and Kionna Parish was 6-9 with five kills of her own.
The seventh-graders lost both sets in the ?A? game, 21-13 and 21-5. Ava Lowery was 4-5 with two aces and Ralyn Seberg was 2-2 with two aces of her own.
The seventh-grade ?B? team was defeated in a close matchup, 21-16 and 21-18. Jenna Smith was 5-7 with four aces and Erica Dempsey, Jackie Tansey and Thanh Phung had two aces apiece.
The seventh-grade ?C? team split with a 21-14 win and a 21-6 loss. Ale Carrillo was 5-7 with five aces. Jadan Brumbaugh was 6-7 with four aces and Kayla Castellow was 6-8 with five aces.
The ?D? team swept Ottumwa, 21-8 and 21-16. Brumbaugh and Regan Seberg each had six aces to lead the way. Castello and Ralyn Seberg finished with four aces. Malena Yocum had two aces and the duo of Monroe Swain and Savana Walls finished with one ace apiece.
