CENTERVILLE ? The Mt. Pleasant boys' tennis team had no troubles on Tuesday evening in a non-conference road matchup with Centerville. The Panthers swept the Big Reds 9-0 to move to 3-1 on the season.

CENTERVILLE ? The Mt. Pleasant boys? tennis team had no troubles on Tuesday evening in a non-conference road matchup with Centerville. The Panthers swept the Big Reds 9-0 to move to 3-1 on the season.
The Panthers domianted the first three singles matches. Ethan Weber swept his opponent in the No. 1 match, 8-0. Corbin Broeker took the No. 2 match 8-1 and Jaxon Hoyle picked up a sweep in the No. 3 match, winning 8-0.
Elijah Plooster had the closest singles match of the day, winning the No. 4 game 8-5. Jack Schimmelpfennig took the No. 5 matchup 8-4 and Donny Arledge won the No. 6 match 8-4.
Broeker and Hoyle battled out an 8-5 win in the No. 1 doubles match. Weber and Schimmelpfennig cruised through the No. 2 doubles match 8-0, and the No. 3 doubles match went to Plooster and Arledge by the score of 8-1.
One junior varsity match was played. Clayton Henriksen picked up a tight win, 9-8(5).
The Panther boys will be at home for their next game on Friday, April 20, when they take on Keokuk at 4:30 p.m.
