Mt. Pleasant church to host live streamed event March 4-5

First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant invites the public to attend “IF: Gathering” to be held Friday, March 4 from 6-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The First United Methodist Church is located at 309 N. Main St.

IF: Gathering 2022 is a two-day live streamed event, where women all of the world gather to watch dynamic speakers and discuss being women for God in this time and place. The theme for this year is “HOPE,” and participants will also talk about resilience. “At IF: 2022 we are going to talk about how to live in this world right now and how to navigate life that goes against culture,” stated a news release from the organization. “How do we build community in the middle of that? How do we tell people about Jesus? Our lives matter in this time and we’re not going to waste it. The event is for all-denominations and women of faith or those who are curious in learning what faith in Jesus is all about.”

Snacks, light breakfast and vegetarian lasagna will be included as part of registration (scholarships available). Iowa Wesleyan Students are free. Sign up online is preferred.
