Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Women to hold Spring Rally April 20

The Mt. Pleasant Zone of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) will hold their annual Spring Rally on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church, 910 E. Mapleleaf Dr., Mt. Pleasant. Registration and a light breakfast begins at 8:30a.m. The meeting and program is from 9:00a.m.ro noon with lunch following.

The theme is "God's House-Then and Now" from Psalms 122:1: "I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’“

The keynote speaker is Pastor Michael Scudder, who will talk about why we do what we do in the Divine Service on Sunday morning. He will tell us about the Old Testament rites and rituals and how they influenced our own Divine Service.

The LWML is a recognized auxiliary of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) ,and the Mt. Pleasant Zone consists of women from LCMS churches in Burlington, Fairfield, Ft. Madison, Mt. Pleasant, Muscatine, Wapello, and Wilton.
