Mt. Pleasant Optimist Club

The Mt. Pleasant Optimist Club will be holding an informational meeting on Jan. 24 from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Middle School Library. The meeting will discuss starting an Optimism Club in the community.

An Optimist Club is an international community service organization for men and women which volunteers in action for the good of youth in the community.

It aims to develop optimism in good government and civic affairs, inspire respect for law, promote patriotism and work for internationa accord and friendship among al people. They also encourage the development of youth in the belief that the giving of oneself in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind around the world.
