Mt. Pleasant to host blood drives in January

Mt. Pleasant will host a pair of blood drives in late January, one on the 21st and the other on the 23rd.
The first will be from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the Henry County Community Meeting Room, located at 1400 E. Washington St., inside the E3 Center.
The second will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Lincoln Elementary School at 501 Corkhill St., inside the gym.

Donor Eligibility Criteria: Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at (800) 747 5401. Donors who last gave blood on or before 11/26/19 are eligible to give at this drive.
About Blood Donation: Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.
