Conger house
The Conger House Museum in Washington will be open from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 18.
The exhibit this summer will feature a Washington County World War I collection to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the U.S. involvement in the Great War. Conger house
The Conger House Museum in Washington will be open from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, June 18.
The exhibit this summer will feature a Washington County World War I collection to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the U.S. involvement in the Great War. There are uniforms and memorabilia from several local veterans, including Henry Berdo, Jesse Radda, Meryl Steele, Tom Lowry, Smith Brookhart and Agnes Swift. You may also explore the amazing Washington County historical artifacts and collections.
The museum will be open on the third Sunday of each month from June through October. A small entrance fee is charged. All proceeds go toward preserving our history for generations to come.
The Wayland Midwest Memories Museum
The Wayland Midwest Memories Museum, located at 217 West Main Street, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 17.
Refreshments will be served all day with demonstrationsn on how to make cottage cheese and homemade ice cream at 10 a.m., and cheese curd-making demonstration at 2 p.m.
A scavengar hunt for children using photos in the museum will be done all day as well.
