The National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1814 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center.

Following lunch in the dining area, members will adjourn to the lower level for their meeting.

JEFFERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU WOMEN

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau Women met Tuesday at Johnny?s Place for a noon luncheon.

Eleven women answered roll call to ?Agriculture of South Africa.? Two guests were present.

Shirley Stanley opened the meeting with a Daily Reading called ?Smile.?

Marie Lehrer presented the program. She is founder of a group called Rise Africa. She told of her work with an orphanage in a Tanzanian village, the goal to help feed them, educate adults on health care and create a clean water system.

Stanley announced it was National 4-H Week.

The next meeting will be Nov. 1 at Pizza Ranch, with Carol Messer presenting the lesson.
