The Fairfield Public Library will soon sponsor a new daytime book discussion group that will feature thought-provoking fiction.
Facilitated by David Patterson, an initial planning session is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the library. Interested readers should attend to make their preferences known.
Monthly meetings will accommodate 12 people, and advance registration will be required each month. Those who attend the Oct. 2 planning session are welcome to register for the first discussion group session; time and date to be determined by those in attendance.
'My hope is that this group will focus on thought-provoking, compelling, substantial ideas,” said Patterson. 'Think of those novels you finished and wanted to talk with someone about them, because the ideas moved you in some way.”
